Privacy Policy
Saveling ("we", "us") is a personal finance habit app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
The short version
Saveling works offline. Everything you enter — expenses, envelopes, goals, XP, streaks, your name and chosen character — is stored only on your device. We do not have a server that receives your financial data, and we never connect to your bank.
Information stored on your device
- Expenses you log (amount, category, optional note, date)
- Envelopes and savings goals (name, target, saved amount)
- Game progress (XP, level, streaks, quests, unlocked rooms)
- Your display name and selected character
- App settings (e.g. whether reminders are enabled)
This data stays in the app's local storage. Deleting the app deletes it. It is included in your device backups according to your iOS settings.
Information we do not collect
- No bank or card connections, no account numbers
- No contacts, photos, or location
- Your expenses, envelopes and goals are never sent to us or to anyone else
Advertising measurement (Meta SDK)
To understand which ads bring people to Saveling, the app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK. It sends Meta a small set of app events — app install and open, onboarding completed, paywall viewed, free trial started, subscription purchased (with price and currency) — together with technical identifiers of your device. If you allow tracking when iOS asks (App Tracking Transparency), Meta may also receive your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to attribute the install to an ad; if you decline, attribution is limited to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork reports. Your expenses, envelopes, goals and any amounts you enter in the app are never shared. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device (for example, a morning hello and an evening check-in). These are generated on-device and are not sent through our servers. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions (Saveling Pro) are processed by Apple through the App Store. Your subscription status is checked on your device directly with Apple; no third-party payment service is involved, and we never see your payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
Children
Saveling is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
